Situated halfway between Nosy Be and the big island, is Nosy Komba, a volcanic island with an idyllic aspect, covered with luxuriant vegetation, bordered with superb beaches and surrounded with coral reefs.The exuberance of the vegetation, combined with the scents of ylang-ylang, and of the pepper plants and coffee trees gives the island an aura of a small tropical paradise, offering wonderful strolls to the heart of its land and allowing one to follow the traces of the Maki Macaco that populate its forest.
Situated facing the north-western coast of Madagascar and only twenty minutes by boat from Nosy Be, the island offers good atmospheric conditions all year: the sunshine is intense and the rain showers are concentrated mainly in tropical evening showers. The island is not exposed to cyclones.
The year gives cadence to two seasons, the hot and humid weather from December to April ; the agreeably cool and dry weather from May to November. It’s an ideal destination at all periods of the year.
